RUTHERFORD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--One Mind Institute (IMHRO) has announced its 2014 IMHRO/Johnson & Johnson Rising Star Research Awards. IMHRO and Johnson & Johnson Innovation identify and fund critical and cutting edge research on the causes of and cures for brain disorders.
The 2014 IMHRO/Johnson & Johnson Rising Star Translational Research Award winner is Jean-Martin Beaulieu, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at Laval University for his research to develop safer, targeted mood stabilizing drugs by testing, in cell culture and in mice, small molecules which his past research suggests might replicate the therapeutic effect of lithium with minimal side effects.
