FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J., Aug. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medco Health Solutions, Inc., today said that it has received a notice of intent from the State of South Carolina to award its pharmacy benefit management services agreement to Medco.
Under the agreement, Medco would continue managing for more than 350,000 employees, retirees and dependents covered under the state program, a full range of pharmacy services delivered through an extensive network of retail pharmacies and the company’s mail service operations. Medco has managed the state’s pharmacy benefit program since 1995.
Under South Carolina’s procurement regulations, the notification to Medco, issued August 26, becomes the official statement of award on September 13, unless otherwise suspended or cancelled.
