PITTSBURGH, Jan. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- MED3OOO, Inc., a national healthcare management and technology company, recently named two executive leaders to oversee the growth of its network and revenue cycle management business lines as the company aligns its operations more closely with its growing client and prospect base needs.
“We are experiencing renewed growth as the market shifts,” said Patrick V. Hampson, Chairman & CEO. “By structuring our business units to align with those of our clients, we are better positioned to provide value and expertise to all levels as we grow our network and revenue cycle management business.”
The new senior executive leadership assignments include:
The promotion of Richard Schickler from President of MED3OOO’s Northeast Region to Executive Vice President of Physician Services, Systems, and Operations: In this role, Schickler will be responsible for coordinating the company’s offerings to the Physician Practice Services markets. These services include revenue cycle management, practice operations, and the MED3OOO’s Misys ASP product offerings. Schickler joined MED3OOO in 1998 as Vice President of Finance of its Northeast Regional Operation. In 1999, Schickler became President of the Northeast Operation where he spearheaded an impressive financial and operational turnaround of the Region. Schickler was also responsible for overseeing the transformation of one of the Company’s long- standing clients, a Bridgeport, CT-based physician group, from a single- specialty primary care based group into a dynamic and growing multi-specialty group, which has over 65 physicians. Schickler has a proven track record in assisting physician groups to maximize their financial opportunities through strategic planning, operational efficiencies and group practice oversight. Prior to joining MED3OOO, Schickler, a Certified Public Accountant, was the Chief Financial Officer of a national physician practice management company, Avanti Health Systems, a division of NYLCare Health Plans. While at Avanti, Schickler was responsible for overseeing the financial turnaround of its $100 million operations, which consisted of 250 physicians in locations throughout the country.
Returning to the organization after a two-year leave as Vice President, Health Care Management with WellPoint Health Plans, Bruce Swartz will assume the position of Executive Vice President of Network Management and Hospital Services, Systems, and Operations, which include MED3OOO’s IDX, A4 Health Systems, and Allscripts ASP product offerings. Swartz brings with him a vast knowledge in health plan benefits and over 25 years experience working with national healthcare delivery organizations. Swartz held the position of President of MED3OOO’s Western Region from 2002 to 2004. Prior to working with MED3OOO, Swartz was Chief Operating Officer for Premier Practice Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Premier, Inc., with over 1,200 physicians and 2,000 employees throughout the country. Earlier, he worked for Mullikin Medical Centers, the fastest growing private multi-specialty group practice in the country prior to its being acquired by MedPartners. As Vice President, Clinical Operations, Swartz was responsible for 450 employed physicians and 1,200 employees covering 65 sites and serving over 300,000 globally capitated lives throughout California. Swartz has been a great contributor to MED3OOO, leading the development for large hospital clients and IPA networks.
