PASADENA, Calif., May 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that a subsidiary company received a contract to provide engineering, procurement, construction management, and validation services at GlaxoSmithKline’s manufacturing site in Currabinny, Cork, Ireland.
Officials did not disclose the value of the contract, which has a two-year initial performance period.
Under the contract, Jacobs is assuming responsibility for an in-house team to maintain, upgrade, and expand GlaxoSmithKline’s manufacturing capability at the Currabinny site. Jacobs is managing and integrating a team of approximately 50 people, including GlaxoSmithKline’s preferred subcontractors, in a continuation of the long-standing partnership between Jacobs and GlaxoSmithKline at Currabinny.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Phil Stassi stated, “This contract award marks the beginning of a new way of working for GlaxoSmithKline at the Currabinny site. We look forward to applying our experience from similar site-based relationships to deliver significant long-term value to GlaxoSmithKline.”
