Integrated Laboratory Systems, Inc. (ILS), a health and environmental contract research organization located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, has completed the upfit of a new 14,000 square-foot laboratory facility and the renovation of a 4,000 square-foot space at their existing research laboratory in Keystone Park. The new $3 million facility houses a dual-corridor, non-specific pathogen free animal facility, several cell culture and genetic toxicology laboratories for cell-based assays, and additional office space to service ILS staff involved in information technology services, data management systems development and bioinformatics. This new facility, and the closely situated main ILS research facility, permits ILS to expand its wide range of research and testing services for toxicological and translational health needs.
To celebrate this accomplishment, ILS will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony at its new research facility on July 7th, 2009 at 11:00 AM. ILS is proud to announce Congressmen David Price and Brad Miller, along with Dr. Linda Birnbaum, Director of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, as the keynote speakers.
