NORFOLK, Va., April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- HomeChoice Partners, Inc. (HomeChoice), the leading provider of infusion therapy services throughout Virginia and northeastern North Carolina, today announced it has completed the acquisition of PrimeCare Infusion Services, Inc. (PrimeCare) of Augusta, Ga. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Mary Ann Cope RPh., president and CEO of HomeChoice, said Joseph W. Boyd RPh., former president of PrimeCare, has been named vice president of business development for HomeChoice and will manage the company's operations in Georgia and South Carolina.
"The foundation upon which Joe has been building PrimeCare during the past 10-plus years fits very well with our commitment to providing superior patient care at HomeChoice," Cope said. "PrimeCare complements our growth strategy within the mid-Atlantic region of the United States very well, while Joe brings a wealth of experience and additional depth to our clinically focused management team -- attributes which we believe are essential to maintaining a leading position in the infusion industry."
Boyd started PrimeCare in 1992 and, in his executive role with HomeChoice, he will lead the planning efforts for patient care expansion. This effort initially will include a large percentage of the population living within Georgia and western South Carolina.
"The business philosophy that HomeChoice subscribes to is an excellent match with the philosophy of PrimeCare," Boyd said. "This is to be a leading, innovative provider of infusion-related services and to create an environment where employees can excel and contribute to the success of the company. It seems HomeChoice and PrimeCare have been simultaneously grooming each of our respective organizations for this opportunity in which our strengths will be complementary to each other while uniquely positioning the unified effort for future growth."
