BAD HOMBURG, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 2004--Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMCNA), a subsidiary of Fresenius Medical Care AG (FWB:FME, FME3)(NYSE:FMS, FMS_p), the world's largest provider of dialysis products and services, today announced that it has been awarded a contract from the British Columbia Provincial Renal Agency (BCPRA), an agency of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) for hemodialysis supplies which includes dialyzers, blood lines, concentrates, and ancillaries for all the home and community patients (700 ESRD patients). The BCPRA plans and coordinates the care of people with kidney disease throughout British Columbia to ensure equitable access to high quality care. The contract is effective January 2005 for a two-year period with an option for an additional two years.
