Edward A. Mueller Elected as New Member of McKesson Corporation’s Board of Directors

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--McKesson Corporation (NYSE:MCK) announced today that Edward A. Mueller has been elected a new member of the company’s Board of Directors. Mueller is chairman and chief executive officer of Qwest Communications International Inc. He became chairman and CEO of Qwest in 2007, after serving as chief executive officer of Williams-Sonoma Inc. from 2003 to 2006. Prior to Williams-Sonoma, Mueller served as president and chief executive officer of Ameritech Corporation, a subsidiary of SBC Communications, Inc., from 2000 to 2002; as president of SBC International Operations from 1999 to 2000; and as president of Pacific Bell from 1997 to 1999. He joined SBC in 1968, and held other executive positions, including that of president and chief executive officer of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He also serves on the board of directors for The Clorox Company. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri and an executive M.B.A. degree from Washington University. His election brings the size of the McKesson board to ten members.
