FAIRFIELD, Calif., April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The Seneca Center is pleased to acknowledge that a crew of employees from DEY, L.P., volunteered to brighten and improve the Seneca Center’s Solano County Receiving Center. On April 30 and May 1, DEY staffers expect to spend most of their weekend at the Center, painting walls and decorating in the children’s bedrooms and the reception area. DEY is supporting the group’s efforts with a financial contribution, and three Fairfield businesses -- Downtown Paint, Home Depot, and Target -- have donated supplies to the effort.
“We want to make our Center feel more homey and welcoming for the children we take in, who are often in very stressful and scary situations. The volunteers from DEY have very kindly offered to help us achieve this by painting the bedrooms and reception area a warm shade of yellow and by adding finishing touches such as window coverings and framed artwork,” said Ken Berrick, executive director of the Seneca Center.
“It is wonderful to see DEY employees giving back to the community and doing their part for such an important local resource. We are impressed by the Seneca Center’s mission and are honored to be able to help them in their commitment to the community,” said J. Melville Engle, DEY President and Chief Executive Officer. DEY, L.P. is a manufacturer and marketer of airway and allergy medications located in Napa.
