FOSTER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gilead Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq:GILD) announced today that, after conducting an investigation, the United States Department of Justice (“DOJ”) has notified the United States District Court for the Northern District of California “of its decision not to intervene” in a lawsuit filed by a former Gilead employee under the qui tam provisions of the federal False Claims Act. The DOJ has also notified Gilead of its decision to decline to intervene in two additional False Claims Act lawsuits. If the plaintiffs in these lawsuits decide to pursue their allegations further, Gilead will defend the matters vigorously.
