13th July, 2012 - London – De Facto Communications, the healthcare and life sciences Communications specialist, has completed a management buyout of the business from Chime Communications Plc. The new agency will be headed by a senior management team of Tristan Jervis and Alex Heeley, with 4 main divisions running across digital, branding and design, scientific writing and PR.
Initially the new business will be based at Chime’s Holborn Gate offices after the transaction was formally completed on 30th June 2012, and De Facto’s core client roster will be moving with the new management team.
Tristan Jervis, Managing Partner at De Facto, said: “With Chime and Bell Pottinger moving in separate directions, we felt this was the perfect time to refocus De Facto on its core healthcare and life sciences capabilities. Increasingly our clients are turning to us for a broader range of services in response to the need to communicate more widely with patients and consumers, in addition to traditional scientific, business and healthcare audiences. Moving forwards, we will be looking to grow organically and are particularly focused on helping companies we believe are contributing positively in the healthcare and life sciences arena both in Europe and the USA.”
“Our approach is to integrate a tailored mix of elements for each client starting with PR, and incorporating other disciplines as appropriate from creative design, market research, branding, stakeholder relations, but with digital forming an essential part of all client strategies. The best campaigns that resonate most effectively with audiences are greater than the sum of their parts and include a multiplatform dimension. In the future we will look to take a holistic view of the client’s overall business objectives before implementing a bespoke mix of elements to create the greatest noise and deliver work that retains its impact – designing campaigns around the point of interaction for our clients’ stakeholders.” Alex Heeley, Partner - Director of strategy
