Conventus Biomed Adds Key Personnel

(SAN DIEGO, CA) - CONVENTUS BIOMEDICAL SOLUTIONS, INC., a regulatory affairs consulting firm in Sorrento Valley, has entered its eighth year of operation in the biotech corridor of San Diego and recently added key personnel to its team.

President and Principal Regulatory Consultant, Steven A. Kradjian, RAC, founded the company in 2004 after twenty-five years of experience in biotech regulatory affairs at positions including Executive Director of Regulatory and Quality Assurance at Vical, Inc., and prior positions at Amgen, American Medical Optics and Alpha Therapeutic Corporation.

Kradjian has recently added two new experts to the Conventus consulting team:

William H. Cover, (PhD, JD, RAC), Vice President of Technical Consulting & Business Development, is an accomplished scientist, regulatory affairs professional and a recognized CMC/Quality expert with more than 25 years of proven leadership experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries.

Zenaida A. Ortega, (MBA, CQE, CQA), Director of Quality Assurance, has more than 25 years of proven management experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries with expertise in design, development, and implementation of quality systems and experience representing CMO and Sponsor QA responsibilities.

Earlier in 2011, Conventus was pleased to invite Francisco X. Rosas, (MS, RAC) to the core consulting team as Senior Regulatory Associate, drawing on his laboratory, bioprocessing and regulatory affairs experience, working with both clinical stage products and marketed products. He has operational expertise and has contributed technically to a variety of regulatory submissions.
