Port St. Lucie, FL - April 13, 2016 – Colliers International South Florida has been selected to market the Tradition Innovation Park-based 100,000-square-foot biotech research facility owned by the receivership estate of the Vaccine & Gene Therapy Institute (VGTI) of Florida Corp, in Port St. Lucie, FL.
Kevin McCarthy, Senior Vice President with Colliers, will lead an international search for suitable tenants or a buyer, including non-pharmaceutical biotechnology, diagnostics, stem cell/cellular therapy and vaccine companies, that can maximize the facility’s advanced research capabilities.
“The VGTI property offers a state-of-the-art research facility in a rapidly growing area on Florida’s Treasure Coast with live, work and play appeal,” Mr. McCarthy said.
The court-appointed receiver, Mr. Michael Imber, selected Colliers based on written responses and oral presentations to a formal request-for-proposal process among several firms. Three finalists presented to an audience that included representatives of the City of Port St. Lucie as well as the bond indenture trustee, TD Bank.

An international marketing campaign for the facility will launch on May 2. Additionally, the property will be showcased at the International BIO Conference in San Francisco in June 2016.
