SARASOTA, FL ? Circuelle Foundation™ and BioLucid™ launched a breast health awareness initiative October 1st. Now they proudly announce the arrival on the iTunes App Store, the one-of-a-kind Interactive Breast Self-Exam iPad app. Using proprietary technology, Know Your Breasts™, is an interactive app that makes breast health visual, through a realistic and educational simulated breast exam experience.
“In the constantly changing landscape of women’s health recommendations, it is critically important women be provided with clear consistent messages about breast health. Because when the message is muddled - many women, not knowing what to do, do nothing. And in a disease like breast cancer, where early detection is key, that is the wrong choice,” states Melissa Kirkpatrick, founder of Circuelle Foundation. “Now more than ever before, women need to be educated about their breasts and breast health, and we at Circuelle Foundation are bound and determined to do just that.”
The digitally simulated experience of Know Your Breasts™ educates women by using an intriguing methodology called mind mapping approach, reinforcing the healthy ritual of self breast exam, allowing users to move their hand across the tablet to “feel” various parts of the breast, “revealing” anatomy and anomalies underneath the skin. During the interactive experience, the app includes aspects such as the ability to change pressure on the exam from light, to medium to firm; and also the app allows you to add an overlay pattern to teach helpful tracking technique to follow, making the exam more thorough. There’s also visual diagrams on breast anatomy and anomalies.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with BioLucid on this Breast Health Awareness Initiative,” Melissa Kirkpatrick, continues, “if a picture says a thousand words; this app is a textbook in two minutes. It has given us the great privilege to make a real and significant impact in the advancement of breast awareness in young women through our outreach and educational programs, empowering them to embrace healthy rituals that lower breast cancer risk.”
Lawrence Kiey, CEO and Co-Founder of BioLucid states, “We are very honored and pleased to be working with Melissa and Circuelle Foundation to help raise awareness and understanding of breast cancer and breast health.”
Know Your Breasts™ is available now on iTunes in iPad apps. Circuelle Foundation will be presenting the app to healthcare professionals for use with patients, as well as incorporating the app into the Circuelle Ambassador Educational program presented to young women in schools as well as other events. A mobile version of the app is in development.
