BLOOMFIELD, Conn., Nov. 11, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CIGNA HealthCare announced today that it has appointed Gary Earl to lead customer relationship strategy for its national accounts segment. A noted health and wellness expert, Earl is the former corporate vice president of benefits for Caesars Entertainment and brings more than 20 years of experience to this position.
In addition, Mary Wilkins has been promoted to senior vice president and head of sales and account management for CIGNA HealthCare national accounts to position the company for further growth. Ken Sperling will have broader responsibilities as the head of sales performance and growth strategy, capitalizing on his expertise in the consumer directed health plan market and helping CIGNA further build its national accounts segment.

His experience also includes tenure with the employee benefit consulting company, The Watson Group, where he served as a vice president and partner, and with CIGNA HealthCare working in a variety of roles including underwriting and product development. Earl was selected as “Benefit Manager of the Year 2003" by Employee Benefits Magazine and recently he spearheaded the Health Awareness Tour 2005 to help expand wellness messages throughout the country. He holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from College Misericordia, Dallas, PA.
