Daix, May 21 2013 – Inventiva, a French biotech company specialized in drug discovery partnerships in addition to developing its own proprietary pipeline, announced today that Dr. Christian Montalbetti has joined the company and will be based at Inventiva’s research center in Daix, near Dijon, France. As head of the chemistry department his responsibilities will include managing the medicinal chemistry, analytical chemistry, CADD and parallel synthesis groups.
Christian obtained his PhD at Université Pierre et Marie Curie. After completing his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, he joined Evotec in 1998, where he successfully led numerous medicinal chemistry projects in collaboration with major pharmaceutical and biotechs companies, covering diverse therapeutic areas.
