AVI BioPharma, Inc. (Nasdaq:AVII), today announced that Alan P. Timmins, AVI’s president and COO, will testify in a joint hearing before the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions and the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary. The committee hearing will focus on the role of government in sponsoring drug development efforts to combat bioterrorism.
