AmeriHealth New Jersey Names New Vice President; Judith Roman Joins AmeriHealth To Oversee Provider Relations

MT. LAUREL, N.J., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- AmeriHealth New Jersey Chairman G. Fred DiBona, Jr. has named Judith L. Roman as Vice President, Provider Relations. She reports directly to William F. Haggett, AmeriHealth New Jersey President and CEO.

“We are very pleased to have Judy join our company,” said Haggett. “With more than 20 years of high-level experience in the healthcare field, Judy has proven her executive mettle in developing and maintaining medical delivery networks.

“In her new position, Judy oversees comprehensive programs, services, systems and contracting initiatives that support AmeriHealth New Jersey’s network of 95 hospitals and over 14,000 physicians,” Haggett added.

Prior to joining AmeriHealth, Roman was the Vice President of Network Development for Flagship Healthcare Management, a start-up organization in New York, New York that develops national networks of top specialists in various medical disciplines. At Flagship, her responsibilities included physician network and call center operations development. She has also held positions at WellChoice, Inc., formerly known as Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield in New York, NY, and Oxford Health Plans in Iselin, New Jersey.

Roman is co-founder and Board Member of the Jennifer Swift Fieldman Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising money for sarcoma research. She and her husband reside in Glen Ridge, New Jersey with their two children.
