Start-Up Company MDs Research Library Releases First Complete Vitamin D Handbook

Published: Nov 16, 2007

Mountain View, CA, November 16, 2007 / BioSpace, Inc./ -- MDs Research Library, a life sciences based literature, Internet sources recruitment & research firm was launched in Mountain View, California on June 30, 2006.

In the fall of 2006 Michael Delander partnered with Bill Milne to co-produce the most complete work on the topic of Vitamin D to be publicly released. What is unique about the work is that it contains 947distinctly unique vitamin D molecules in a single source.

Why is this of value? Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to numerous diseases states, including cancer, TB, and immunological disorders. Providing a single source to search for compounds, the book allows scientists and researchers to focus their efforts on developing medicinal therapies rather than list generation.

For those that are familiar with the literature of Vitamin D, there is an estimated 2000-3000 analogues thought to exist. This work was an attempt to locate and catalog them for review by professionals developing therapies for various indications. Many of the analogs listed have unique properties for individual disease states.

Michael Delander continues to research vitamin D and to catalog new analogs as they are found, maintaining a private list and welcomes inquiries. &

It is diligence on this scale, that the MDs Research Library team is well equipped to facilitate.
