(Nasdaq: PTIE - News), a biopharmaceutical company, today reported financial results for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2006. Net income for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 was $9.7 million, or $0.22 per share, compared to a net loss of $8.8 million, or $0.20 per share, in the third quarter of 2005. Net income for the nine months ended September 30, 2006 was $11.9 million, or $0.27 per share, compared to a net loss of $27.5 million, or $0.63 per share, for the same period in 2005.
