IBC Life Sciences Announces the 2010 BioProcess International(TM) Conference

WESTBOROUGH, MA--(Marketwire - April 26, 2010) - IBC Life Sciences' BioProcess International™ Conference (BPI) will bring together leading companies and academics from across the full spectrum of the bioprocessing industry under one roof for a week of intensive learning, small group discussions, unparalleled networking opportunities and access to the largest exhibit hall exclusively devoted to biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

The Conference will take place on September 20-24, 2010 with a dedicated exhibit hall open on September 21-23 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, RI.

"With so much change occurring in the industry, I think people are realizing that there is no replacement for meeting face-to-face and hearing directly from industry leaders to move projects forward as efficiently as possible," said BPI Conference Project Leader, Barry Walsh.

New programming for vaccine production, integrating raw materials & suppliers into a quality system, and emerging analytical requirements have been added to this year's agenda. The four main conference tracks will provide in-depth sessions on managing manufacturing networks, product lifecycle management, cell culture & upstream processing and recovery & purification. Plus, attendees of BPI will have free access to IBC's co-located Formulation Strategies for Protein Therapeutics conference, September 21-23.

Keynote addresses will be presented by Helen Winkle, CDER, US FDA, W. Blair Okita, Ph.D., Genzyme Corporation, Thomas Vandern Boom, Ph.D., Hospira, Inc. and S. Robert Adamson, Ph.D., Wyeth Biopharma. Topics include QbD, strategies for biosimilars, and sustainable cell culture development.

The exhibit hall, nearly sold out, will showcase the latest array of technologies and services from over 150 exhibitors giving attendees the chance to compare and evaluate the best products on the market.

"A must-attend annual conference for the biopharmaceutical industry!" stated Jinyou Zhang, Ph.D., Associate VP, Process Development & Manufacturing, Immunomedics, Inc., who attended the event in 2009.
