Etiometry Brings Advanced Visualization And Analytics To The Hospital Bedside

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Etiometry, a pioneering leader in next-generation patient monitoring, has introduced Persistent Display functionality that allows hospital care givers to view near real-time patient trend information continuously by the bedside to improve care delivery.

“What is often overlooked today when discussing healthcare predictive analytics is the integration of analytics into the clinical workflow. This feature allows hospitals to improve the integration of analytics into the workflow to enable next-generation patient monitoring.”

Persistent Display is now bundled into Etiometry T3 Visualization & Data Aggregation software, an FDA-cleared software application to collect, store, and visualize ICU data in near real-time. It allows patient trend information to be continuously displayed at the bedside—such as on a wall-mounted monitor—to provide physicians and nursing staff with always-on, at-a-glance views into the clinical course of critically ill patients.

The Persistent Display feature is immediately available with T3 Visualization & Data Aggregation software, and existing customers can implement Persistent Display at no extra costs. According to Etiometry CEO Evan Butler, “What is often overlooked today when discussing healthcare predictive analytics is the integration of analytics into the clinical workflow. This feature allows hospitals to improve the integration of analytics into the workflow to enable next-generation patient monitoring.”

Hospitals implementing T3 Visualization & Data Aggregation can now deploy a regular PC and a monitor at the beside to provide aggregated views of patient data with the analytics enabled by Etiometry Risk Analytics Algorithms. (See related blog.)

Since Persistent Display mode displays high-resolution, trended device and lab data for an ICU patient, it can be used in several clinical workflows such as during resuscitation, rounds, nursing hand-offs and post-event quality reviews. It also provides easy access to correlated information about an ICU patient to a bedside nurse or clinicians who are evaluating and making clinical decisions on possible interventions.

Persistent Display was co-developed and is utilized by Boston Children’s Hospital in collaboration with Etiometry.
