Deals Made to Keep Roche Taxes Stable
Roche, which will close its Nutley- Clifton campus in 2013, has struck an agreement with Nutley to maintain its property tax bill until 2013 by deferring a planned building demolition, and has agreed to keep the company’s Clifton tax bill stable also, the pharmaceutical company said Friday. If the demolition had gone ahead, the company’s Nutley property tax bill of $9 million would have fallen, because state law requires it to be assessed on the structures there, said Darien Wilson, a spokeswoman for Roche, on Friday.
