Alcon, Inc. Eyes $200 Million, 300-job Expansion

Eye-care products-maker Alcon is said to be considering expanding advanced manufacturing operations at its Ciba Vision campus in Johns Creek.

The potential project could involve an up to $200 million investment and create up to 300 jobs in the next few years, sources said.

Alcon employs more than 1,500 at its 850,000-square-foot campus in North Fulton, where it does contact lens research and development, manufacturing and distribution.

The Johns Creek campus, one of the largest private employers in the city, had been Ciba Vision headquarters until Fort Worth, Texas-based Alcon merged with Ciba Vision in April.
