CIGNA HealthCare Appoints Christopher De Rosa As President And General Manager For Its Southern California Region

BLOOMFIELD, Conn., Jan. 17, 2006 /PRNewswire/ -- CIGNA HealthCare announced today the appointment of Christopher De Rosa as president and general manager of CIGNA HealthCare, Southern California responsible for middle market sales, growth and client service. The former senior vice president of CIGNA's Government and Taft-Hartley segment business, De Rosa brings in-depth knowledge of Southern California and extensive sales experience to this new role with the company.

De Rosa began his career with CIGNA in 1992 in California, managing several key accounts, such as Intel, Cisco, Fluor, and Boeing and establishing strong working relationships with producers and providers in the marketplace. His success in the market led to a transition to a new national position where he led the creation of one of the company's advanced customer reporting capabilities programs, including Benefit Insight. In his most recent role, he was responsible for establishing CIGNA's Government and Taft-Hartley business unit, where he led the development and implementation of health plan benefit strategies for Taft-Hartley trusts and the public sector.

A California native, De Rosa has a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master's of Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine. He will be located in the company's Glendale office.
