"Science Hotel" Envisioned In Abacoa

Dyadic International, a biotech company in Jupiter, plans a "science hotel" as part of its new building planned in Abacoa. Incubator space for scientists who want to locate near Florida's planned biotech community is a primary missing ingredient to building a cluster, according to Dyadic Chief Executive Mark Emalfarb. "There's no place to conduct research," he said. "There's no lab space," he said. Scientists would lease space on a yearly basis from Dyadic. The company would slowly take over more of its planned 40,000-square-foot building as business expands, Emalfarb said.
