Another Biotech Boom?

The biotech nuclear winter is clearly over - but could the boom be back? Most of us remember the year 2000 in biotech. How we went up and up and up and there seemed to be no end to the highs we could attain. How companies raised money and then more money and then some more. How 200-person biotechs had valuations half of that of Boeing or any other old economy business. How IPOs were heading out the door and doubling or tripling before most people knew their names or could figure out their stock symbol. How these newbie companies had billion dollar war chests. How day traders were quitting their cushy jobs to sit in front of the computer half an hour a day and make a rock star living. How we all felt the excitement and the rush of potential riches.
