One of the new contracts is with Radiology Ltd., which is located in Tucson, AZ. Radiology Ltd. is a private practice consisting of more than 45 radiologists operating 10 private imaging centers and providing coverage for 3 hospitals in the greater Tucson area. An AMICAS Vision Series PACS customer for several years, Radiology Ltd. will be adding Vision Reach(TM) to their existing PACS installation and replacing their legacy RIS and billing platforms with the Vision Series RIS and Vision Series Financials platforms, respectively.
Vision Reach is an innovative zero client results distribution tool and portal designed specifically for referring physicians. Vision Series Financials, a modern Windows-based platform, is designed to automate revenue cycle management for radiology groups, imaging centers, multi-specialty practices, and billing services.
Another one of AMICAS’ new contracts is with MQ Associates, Inc. (“MedQuest”), a national provider of diagnostic imaging services, which will standardize their image and information management needs on Vision Series PACS. MedQuest is a leading diagnostic imaging company that owns and operates 92 outpatient centers in 13 states.
Holy Cross Hospital, a 331-bed hospital located in Chicago, IL, also signed a new contract with AMICAS in 2007. Holy Cross Hospital, which does approximately 100,000 annual exams, has chosen Vision Series PACS as its imaging and information management platform. A not-for-profit neighborhood health system, Holy Cross Hospital serves the residents of Chicago’s southwest neighborhoods and suburbs.
“The market continues to embrace AMICAS’ innovation and our focus on image and information management,” said Paul Merrild, vice president of marketing at AMICAS. “We remain focused on solving radiology’s most challenging workflow problems -- and, clearly, this is resonating with our new customers and prospects.”
The new contracts in 2007 establish partnerships with a variety of radiology groups, imaging centers, teleradiology businesses, multi-specialty groups, and hospitals. Several of these customers have signed multi-product contracts, which reinforce AMICAS’ presence in the market as a provider of complete end-to-end solutions for automating radiology workflow. AMICAS also signed its first RadStream contract in Q3 2007 with St. Mary’s Health Care System of Athens, GA.
RadStream(TM) is a next generation software product designed to streamline the communication of, and mitigate the risks associated with, communicating critical results to referring physicians.
“We look forward to our partnerships with Radiology Ltd., MedQuest, Holy Cross Hospital, and our other new customers,” said Stephen Kahane MD, chairman and CEO of AMICAS. “Our focus is on working very closely with our customers to develop the best solutions for automating radiology workflow. We are committed to investing in R&D to ensure a rich product pipeline and strong radiology automation solutions.”
