MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Access Genetics, a Minneapolis-based medical technology service company, announced today that it has named Stanley Geyer, M.D., as Associate Medical Director.
As Associate Medical Director, Dr. Geyer will support current medical staff with day-to-day case reviews using Access Genetics’ web-based testing and interpretation model. He will also assist with physician education and in- service presentations, and a leadership role within the Access Genetics’ Medical Advisory Board.

Dr. Geyer has served as the Medical Director of the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital and as Professor at Georgetown’s School of Medicine. He served as Chairman of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital and Adjunct Professor of Pathology at the Temple University School of Medicine. He provided clinical and administrative leadership during the formation of the West Penn Allegheny Health System Core Laboratory, and then served as the Chairman of Pathology of the Urban Central Region Hospitals of Intermountain Healthcare, as well as co- chair of the Board of Directors of Intermountain’s system-wide Anatomic Pathology Development Team. Most recently, Dr. Geyer formed Geyer Pathology Services, LLC to develop new imaging technologies in pathology for the study of occupational and environmental diseases, with a particular emphasis in pulmonary pathology.
