FE -- Washington: A US judge on Monday dismissed an attempt by Mylan Inc to speed up getting its generic version of Pfizer Inc’s blockbuster cholesterol-lowering drug Lipitor on the market and block an exclusive for a generic by India’s Ranbaxy.
Ranbaxy is expected to launch its generic Lipitor on Nov. 30 under a settlement deal with Pfizer, and to remain free of multiple competitors for 180 days, as the first company to apply to sell a cheaper version of the world’s best-selling prescription medicine.
