Under-the-Tongue an Effective Treatment Route for Allergies, St. Thomas’ Hospital Study

MedPageToday -- Sublingual immunotherapy -- dubbed SLIT -- is a safe and effective treatment for allergic rhinitis, according to large meta-analysis. The analysis of 60 trials found that SLIT treatment was associated with a significant reduction in symptoms and medication requirements when compared with placebo, Suzana Radulovic, MD, PhD, of St. Thomas’ Hospital in London, England, and colleagues reported in the Cochrane Review.
