Who: Approximately 3,000 engineers—including a large delegation of students and early career engineers—are expected to attend this event from all over the world. Presenters include academic, research and industry leaders. Exhibitors and sponsors include universities, publishers and businesses from aerospace, computing, and other industries.

- Sunday, Nov. 11: The ASME Student Design Competition Finals take place from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Convention Center, Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom C. This year, student teams from 16 universities representing six countries will compete. Students and organizers also will be available for interviews.
- Monday, Nov. 12: ASME’s gala awards event, the Honors Assembly, will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Convention Center, Ballroom A, and will include the presentation of the ASME Medal, the association’s highest honor.

Keynote and plenary speakers include:
- Monday, Nov. 12, 8-9:30 a.m., keynote address by Frank DeMauro, vice president and general manager of the space systems group at Northrop Grumman, on the value of satellite services and in space robotics; Mayor William Peduto’s office welcomes ASME with a special presentation.
- Wednesday, Nov. 14, 8-8:45 a.m., plenary presentation by Mark Hindsbo, vice president and general manager of the design business unit at ANSYS, on innovation in engineering and how the democratization of technology is reshaping engineering, from the classroom to the workplace;
- Thursday, Nov. 15, 12:40-2 p.m., closing plenary presentation by Vijay Kumar, Nemirovsky Family Dean of Penn Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, on how artificial intelligence, robotics and automation will change our work.
All of the above presentations will take place in the Convention Center, Ballroom A.
