ORLANDO, Fla., March 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Telzuit Medical Technologies, Inc. (the “Company” or “Telzuit”) announced today that it has appointed Warren D. Stowell to Chief Executive Officer. A Board member since 2005, Mr. Stowell succeeds Donald Sproat, who has resigned from the Company and Board of Directors, effective today. Mr. Stowell will focus on further strengthening Telzuit’s management team and resources as the Company completes the final phases of the roll-out of its flagship medical device, the Bio-Patch Wireless Holter Monitor. Telzuit is also actively pursuing qualified, independent candidates to fill Mr. Sproat’s seat on the Board of Directors.
Today’s appointment of Mr. Stowell follows the recent hiring of Larry Goff, a veteran medical advice engineer who has a successful track record in launching multiple medical devices, to serve as a consultant, as well as the appointment of Kenneth Adams, formerly a Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Saab Cars USA, to the Company’s Board of Directors. Telzuit also recently completed the build-out of its medical monitoring center in Orlando and signed a co-marketing agreement with External Counter Pulsation (ECP) equipment maker Cardiomedics, Inc., for the sale of the Bio-Patch through Cardiomedics’ sales and marketing channels.
Warren D. Stowell commented, “During the past year, Telzuit has made dramatic progress in pursuing its strategy to develop advanced mobile medicine, including the Bio-Patch. The Company has now entered the final transition period as it prepares for the formal launch of the Bio-Patch to physicians and patients. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Donald Sproat for his hard work and dedication in supporting the development of Telzuit. Donald played an instrumental role in bringing us to this point, and we are grateful for his contributions. As we move from a development stage company to a fully operating entity, we are taking steps to further strengthen our management and resources. My mission is to ensure that we maximize all of the opportunities in front of us.”
Mr. Stowell has been a member of the Telzuit Board of Directors since 2005. He has more than 23 years of experience as CEO/COO in the Healthcare industry, working with both public and private companies. During his extensive tenure in those positions, he helped several companies to build revenues in the hundreds of millions of dollars. These companies included, among others, Ramsay HMO (acquired by United Healthcare), Care Florida, Inc. (acquired by Foundation Health), and Health America (acquired by Maxicare). In addition, Mr. Stowell has been involved in a successful health start-up company (Health Insurance Plan of Florida). His areas of expertise include the medical arena, especially as it relates to patients, practitioners and insurance providers. Mr. Stowell holds a Masters of Accounting from the University of Denver.
