Too many patients are being excluded from rapid intravenous treatment with tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) following a stroke because the criteria used to keep them from receiving the recombinant clot dissolver are outmoded, researchers said here at the 135th Annual Meeting of the American Neurological Association (ANA).
