Stryker Corporation Announces Corporate Officer Appointments

KALAMAZOO, Mich., April 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stryker Corporation announced the following appointments of additional officers of the Corporation:

* Luciano Cattani, Vice President, Group President, International

Mr. Cattani joined Stryker in 2001 as President, EMEA and was promoted to Group President, International in April 2005, with overall responsibility for Stryker EMEA, Pacific and Japan Divisions. Prior to joining Stryker, Mr. Cattani spent over 20 years at Pfizer where he served as Vice President of Operations, Howmedica Europe, President and CEO of Pfizer Italy and Vice President of Southern Europe, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.

* Elizabeth A. Staub, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance, Stryker Corporation

Ms. Staub was appointed Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance for Stryker in November 2005 and previously served as Director of Business Process Excellence, Vice President of Quality Assurance, and various other regulatory, quality and operations leadership roles for the Orthopaedics Division. Prior to joining Stryker in 1989, Ms. Staub was Quality Assurance Manager at Baxter Corporation.

* Bronwen R. Taylor, Chief Compliance Officer, Stryker Corporation

Ms. Taylor was appointed Chief Compliance Officer for Stryker in September 2005. She joined Stryker in 2000 as the Chief Financial Officer for Stryker South Pacific and was subsequently appointed Stryker South Pacific’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and then Vice President and Director of Operations. Prior to joining Stryker, Ms. Taylor worked for financial and global mining companies in Australia and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Australia and London.
