Andrew Macintyre, PhD has recently joined the SNBL USA management team and holds the position Director of Analytical Biology. In addition to managing the general operations of the SNBL USA Analytical Biology department, Dr. Macintyre manages the coordination of a wide variety of scientific principles and concepts within SNBL USA, provides scientific and innovative oversight with the planning and execution of scientific research, and drives the vision and strategy for the Analytical Biology group in streamlining departmental efficiencies while at the same time expanding Analytical Biology services for our clients. Dr. Macintyre brings with him significant experience and knowledge in the immunology field. Well-versed specifically in the areas of flow cytometry, ELISA, Luminex, Mesoscale, in addition to all of the instrumentation and methods we run at the core of our SNBL USA laboratory operations, Dr. Macintyre brings a great perspective from which clients will only benefit.
Prior to joining SNBL USA, Dr. Macintyre served as Associate Director of Laboratory Sciences at Charles River Laboratories in Nevada and Principal Immunologist and Scientific Manager at Charles River Laboratories in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Jan Bernal, DVM has recently joined the SNBL USA Scientific Research Center (SNBL USA SRC) management team as Attending Veterinarian at our Alice, TX site. In addition to the responsibility of overseeing the day-to-day operations of the SNBL USA SRC veterinary services department and all regulatory issues relating to animal welfare and regulatory compliance, Dr. Bernal has the important responsibility of seeing to the general health of all SNBL USA SRC animals. Dr. Bernal brings SNBL USA SRC solid expertise and experience in veterinary care and surgical proficiency. Her breadth of experience ranges from collecting basic samples to specialized delivery of test compounds to specific anatomic areas such as the liver and brain. Dr. Bernal also has specialized knowledge in telemetrized animals and telemetry systems.
Prior to joining SNBL USA SRC, Dr. Bernal held many positions with various companies including: Manager of Clinical Medicine and Surgery; Staff Veterinarian; and Senior Veterinary Advisor. She continues to consult for a few key pharmaceutical and biomedical device companies.
