BROOKFIELD, Wis., Sept. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- RF Technologies®, a leading provider of radio frequency identification (RFID) healthcare safety and security solutions, announced today the release of new products for their Sensatec® Fall Management Solution, bringing added safety to patients or residents in senior living communities, hospitals and rehabilitation facilities.

The restraint-free Sensatec Fall Management Solution monitors patients or residents at risk of falling. Newly launched products include foldable bed and chair sensor pads, toilet sensor pad and seat belt sensor.

The foldable sensor pads and seat belt sensors connect to Sensatec alarm units to alert staff if an at-risk patient or resident tries to get up without assistance. When a sensor is triggered as a result of a patient or resident attempting to get up without assistance, an alarm sounds at the alarm unit.

“The additions to our Sensatec product line provide efficiencies for caregivers and medical staff to monitor those under their care,” said Paul Larson, vice president of technology. “We’ve considered both our customer’s staff and their patients (or residents) when designing these products to be most effective, easy to use and provide another means of safety, reducing the potential for injury.”

The new products are made with non-slip, latex free material; pads include a protective connector plug.

In conjunction with the release of new products, a variety of promotions are being offered with Sensatec orders placed throughout October, including free alarm units and discounted products.
