PsychoGenics Inc. Receives License To The Cntnap2 Knockout Mouse Model From The Weizmann Institute of Science

TARRYTOWN, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PsychoGenics Inc. announced today that it has received a license to use the Cntnap2 knockout mouse from Yeda R&D Co. Ltd., the technology transfer company of the Weizmann Institute of Science. The CNTNAP2 gene encodes for Contactin Associated Protein 2 (Caspr2), a member of the neurexin family of cell recognition molecules. Mutations in this gene are associated with schizophrenia, autism, ADHD and language impairment.
