(NYSE: PKI - News), a global leader in Health Sciences and Photonics, today announced the acquisition of United Kingdom-based Clinical & Analytical Service Solutions Ltd. (C&A), a scientific equipment asset and managed maintenance company serving the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare markets. C&A, which generated revenues of approximately $7.5 million in 2005, will become an integral part of PerkinElmer’s OneSource® service products within its Laboratory Services business. OneSource consolidates all the essential laboratory equipment service needs of laboratories into a single customized solution, helping customers lower costs, dramatically increase service levels, improve productivity, simplify administration and meet the demands of regulatory compliance. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
