Former Genzyme executive to lead “lessons learned” evaluations
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CenterWatch, a leading publisher of clinical trials information, today announced the launch of its newest service Team Performance Optimization Process (T-POP), to help organizations better evaluate performance via quantitative and qualitative, objective project analysis to reduce errors, increase cycle times and create more highly functioning and motivated teams.
“However, companies are struggling to find innovative and successful approaches to strengthening and improving their project outcomes and operations. We feel that, with Larry’s vast experience and success with this type of objective analysis, CenterWatch will be able to provide a solution to this unmet industry need.”
With the increasing complexity of clinical protocols and multi-national trials presenting more burdens for project teams, there often is little, if any, time to assess performance and recognize deficiencies or strengths, which is where CenterWatch will provide assistance.
“A lessons learned approach to process improvement that is both confidential and objective can really help teams begin to communicate more effectively, identify areas in which they are struggling and implement changes that will help them excel at execution,” says industry veteran Larry Blankstein, Ph.D., who will lead the analysis and review for CenterWatch, a leader in analyzing industry trends and reporting on strategies to optimize clinical research performance. “I’m very excited to have this opportunity and I know, with CenterWatch’s strong industry reputation, we can go a long way in helping organizations achieve their project goals.”
Blankstein has spent more than 20 years in the industry managing projects from product conception through process development and has conducted several internal project reviews while working as senior director of clinical research at Genzyme, designing a highly strategic and analytical approach to process team improvement.
“Relationship and team building are the cornerstones of successful organizations,” says CenterWatch COO Joan Chambers. “However, companies are struggling to find innovative and successful approaches to strengthening and improving their project outcomes and operations. We feel that, with Larry’s vast experience and success with this type of objective analysis, CenterWatch will be able to provide a solution to this unmet industry need.”
