FARMINGTON, CT [June 2009] – Mott Corporation just finished a recertification audit with Lloyd’s Registrar Quality Assurance and passed the audit with an upgrade to the ISO 9001:2008 Standard. A representative from Lloyd’s indicated that currently only about 400 companies worldwide are certified to this Standard.
Mott’s continuous improvement philosophy and Quality Management System are firmly in place and have been primary factors in successes based on measurement of customer satisfaction, process improvements and product conformance. Employees have embraced Lean Enterprise practices and regularly take part in Kaizen Events, 5S activities and Six Sigma projects.

Klene (Mott President & CEO) notes, “The recertification process proved that our employees are more confident than ever regarding their work and their understanding of how to maintain a high level of quality outcomes.” After the 5 day audit which included over 1/3 of the Mott workforce, Mott passed the audit without a single negative finding or observation.
