Molecular Detection has raised $3.5 million in a private stock sale, according to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Wayne, Pa., medical-device company was seeking to raise $4.05 million through its equity offering.
Molecular Detection, founded in 2007, develops molecular diagnostic tests used to detect infectious diseases. The company raised $1.4 million in a first round of venture capital financing in 2010.
