This week, ACSH friend and trustee, Dr. Norman Borlaug, was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for his unprecedented accomplishment of saving perhaps a billion lives with his scientific contributions to agriculture. Now, we can replicate at least some of Dr. Borlaug’s achievements by the use of modern biotechnology -- an approach he enthusiastically endorses (see his Wall Street Journal piece, “Continuing the Green Revolution”).
