Medtronic Inc. has joined in a $21 million round of funding for AcuFocus Inc., which makes an implant for treating near-vision loss.
Irvine, Calif.-based AcuFocus will use the funds to expand further into Europe, MassDevice.com reports.
AcuFocus makes a tiny, ring-shaped implant that treats presbyopia, a condition that reduces the eye’s ability to focus on nearby objects.
