Medtech Firm Invictus Nabs $3.8 Million

San Antonio medical device company Invictus Medical has raised about $3.8 million this year to support clinical trials for its product, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company has developed an extracranial pressure relief device for newborn infants that they are calling GELShield. The company recently a clinical trial at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and has filed an application with the Food and Drug Administration to seek regulatory approval to begin commercializing the product.
