The 510k clearance provides Maxant with the ability to market the MediPort as a safe and effective platform for PACS and DICOM viewing software. The areas for intended use of the MediPort include all hospital environments as well as imaging centers, physicians' offices and clinical laboratories. The 510k clearance marks a significant milestone in the MediPort product development cycle.
In addition to the FDA 510k clearance, the MediPort meets all of the stringent specifications of the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 60606-01 classification for medical safety standards.
