Lucideon (Formerly Known As CERAM) To Host Technology Forum At Controlled Release Society Annual Meeting

(Stoke-on-Trent, UK) - Lucideon, the international materials technology company, is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a Technology Forum, ‘Inorganic Materials for Controlled Release – The Much-Needed Alternative to Polymers?’ at the Annual Meeting of the Controlled Release Society (CRS) in Edinburgh on 26 July.

Dr Mark Cresswell, Healthcare Senior Scientist, will talk about how inorganic materials offer enhanced versatility for delivery of actives, through understanding and control of the process and chemistry. He will highlight the benefits of using inorganic controlled release technologies (iCRT) for sustained/immediate release of organic actives/inorganic ions for applications including oral drug formulations, antimicrobial activity, remineralisation of teeth, and fertilisers.

Lucideon has developed a number of proprietary novel and innovative technologies for the effective delivery of drugs. Advantages of their platforms include abuse deterrence, controlled release of challenging APIs, flexibility of physical forms, GRAS and IID approved materials and green manufacturing processes.

Gemma Budd, Healthcare Business Manager at Lucideon said: “The CRS Annual Meeting is the perfect opportunity to showcase our novel technologies. We look forward to meeting with companies who are interested in developing market-leading products.

‘We want the forum to be interactive so we’ll be including demonstrations and videos and encouraging attendees to discuss both the pros and cons of our technologies.’
