UK -- Hamamatsu Photonics introduce the new C11013 series of CCD multichannel detector heads, with an integrated high performance back-thinned CCD image sensor. This new detector head series is aimed at the OEM market and is designed to be incorporated into new and existing spectroscopy systems.
The C11013 series exhibits high sensitivity from the UV to NIR range, owing to the back-thinned technology employed with the CCD image sensors. These sensors show vastly improved quantum efficiencies compared to conventional CCDs whilst also featuring very low noise characteristics. The detector head also features cooling to a temperature of zero degrees Celsius, line binning operation, a readout frequency of 250kHz and a USB 2.0 interface. Dedicated software allows easy control of the C11013 and data acquisition through the USB interface.
All these features combined make the C11013 series an ideal solution for the OEM market, and allow for a low cost, high performance alternative to a complete camera system. Application areas include spectroscopy, medical, semiconductor and biotechnology fields.
