Government Contract Sparks New Jobs And Innovation For Allied Healthcare Products, Inc.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Grand Rapids, MI based Alliant Healthcare Products announced today that the Defense Logistics Agency has awarded the company with a new High Tech Medical Equipment (HTME) contract valued by the government at $4 million in the first year of the contract. The contract is for the MiniCAT™ point of care CT scanner that provides digital images of sinuses, temporal bones, and the skull base. The system, manufactured for Alliant Healthcare by Ann Arbor-based Xoran® Technologies, can render an image in less than a minute, which allows the doctor to diagnose the patient during their initial appointment. “The technology is perfect for treating veterans since scheduling additional appointments for CT scans can delay diagnoses and add expense for patient travel,” says Bob Taylor, CEO and owner of Alliant Healthcare Products.

Taylor, a veteran himself, founded Alliant Healthcare in 2002 with the vision of taking care of veterans who have served. “Alliant Healthcare continues to invest in the development of new and innovative medical devices as well as hiring talented people responsible for delivering the best possible technologies to care for the nation’s veterans. We call it the Patriot Promise™,” states Taylor. “It’s our commitment, passion, and focus to improve the lives of veterans.” Alliant Healthcare provides healthcare products and services into the federal market for its Surge Cardiovascular surgical devices, as well as surgical and medical devices manufactured by major healthcare suppliers such as Olympus, Philips, and Skytron.

In addition to the sales and marketing team already in place, the company announced it has recently hired Patrick Goyetch as its Northeast US Government Account Manager and Eric Albery as its Director of Marketing. Albery shared, “Alliant Healthcare is a company on the rise with a proven track record of federal market sales, exceptional product innovation, and amazing company culture. I’m extremely excited to join such a talented team.” Taylor also recently promoted Mark McKinney to Vice President of Client Services. “Mark has over 20 years of government contracting experience and is an absolute key to leading our company,” says Taylor.
