A Silicon Valley startup wants to bring the doctor’s office to the home.
The company, Scanadu, is hoping to sell to consumers simple-to-use devices that, with the help of a smartphone app, could analyze vital signs with a quick scan of the forehead. Another gadget could measure a blood or urine sample like a medical lab does, feeding the information to a doctor or even diagnosing an illness, such as a kidney infection.
